Adaptation Compass: Assessing Resilience and Growth After Change

Life continually presents changes and losses that require us to adjust. This questionnaire helps you evaluate how you respond to significant life shifts-how you manage stress, which coping stage you are currently in (denial, active coping, acceptance/reconstruction), and whether you show signs of post-traumatic growth. For each item, choose the response that best reflects how you typically react to difficult changes (losses, breakups, illness, major setbacks). At the end, the profile is determined by which answer option number (index) you selected most often: 1, 2, or 3. There are 15 questions; each has three choices. This is a screening tool for self-reflection, not a clinical diagnosis.
A visual metaphor for navigating life's changes, showing three paths symbolizing denial, active coping, and acceptance.
